Business Initiative for Health Policy Presents: Medicare for All University

In response to the growing national interest in Medicare for All, The Business Initiative for Health Policy (BIHP) is pleased to announce the launch of Medicare for All University. Candidates all over the country are running on the universal healthcare plan, and the site goes beyond just talking points. It provides readers with a comprehensive overview of the American healthcare system, the politics and policy of Medicare for All, and prepares them to answer questions, whether they come from reporters or their opponents, about their support for the policy.

Members of BIHP believe that it is crucial to build a political movement behind Medicare for All, with candidates who are willing to take on the insurance and pharmaceutical industries oversized political influence.

“The health insurance industry I spent 20 years working for will try everything they can to stop Medicare for All, but candidates all over the country are fighting back on behalf of their constituents.” Said Wendell Potter, Advisor to BIHP and a former executive at Humana and Cigna “Patients are fed up with astronomical bills, business owners are fed up with rising premiums, and the levy has broken. It’s more important than ever that candidates are able to discuss the healthcare system and explain their support for Medicare for All. We have their backs.”

“More and more Americans are embracing Medicare for All as the clear solution to our country’s healthcare crisis”. Said Richard Master, CEO of MCS Industries and founder of BIHP. “This will be a great tool to help candidates understand our current system, articulate solutions, and be effective leaders in the movement.”

“Medicare for All University was created to prepare candidates to endorse Medicare for All confidently, and to answer their opponent’s tough questions clearly and factually. It couldn’t have come at a better time.” Said Carol Paris, Advisor to BIHP and President of Physicians for a National Health Program “The non-partisan popularity of Medicare for All is growing in the business community as well as with voters who are desperate for real change.”
